Instructions
- Remove backer from silk screen stencil and position to the left on pillow case.
- Squeeze a thick line of Pond Scum Metallic paint across top of design. Make sure to leave enough room on either side so that paint does not spill over to pillow case or tape off edges with masking tape.
- Holding squeegee applicator at a 45 degree angle using even pressure, pull a thin coat of paint evenly across stencil design in a single downward motion. Continue until design is completely covered in a thin coat of paint.
- Wash out screen stencil and blot dry.
- Repeat steps 1-4 to place and adhere second chandelier on the right side of pillow case. Apply Cosmopolitan Metallic paint in the same manner as before. Allow painted chandelier designs to dry completely (about 2 hours) before proceeding.
- Repeat steps 1-4 to place and adhere third chandelier in center of pillow, using adhesive instead of paint.
- Apply a thick line of adhesive across top of design. Make sure to leave enough room on either side so that adhesive does not spill over to garment or tape off edges with masking tape. Holding squeegee applicator at a 45 degree angle using even pressure, pull a thin coat of adhesive evenly across screen stencil design in a single downward motion. Continue until design is completely covered in a thin coat of adhesive. Let stand for 30 seconds. Repeat creating a thick even coat.
- Allow adhesive to dry completely (up to 3 hours)
- Lay gold foil sheet, shiny side up, over dried adhesive and parchment paper on top of foil; iron each section for 30 seconds (cotton setting).
- Allow heated foil to cool completely. When cold, quickly pull off foil to reveal your design!

When designing fashion and home décor fabrics, there are a couple of techniques that can be used when applying Simply Screen printing paints. 1. After the silk screen stencil is in place, tacky side down onto your fabric surface, squeeze paint onto the screen stencil; using the squeegee applicator, pull paint down over the stencil. OR 2. Squeeze paint onto a foam plate; using fabric painting brushes, paint the design brushing through the silk screen. |
